

The manual is reviewed on a regular basis by the Grand Council. The following manual was developed by the Board and contains the adopted policies and procedures. Unlike most solutions to the challenge of board leadership, its approach to the design of the governance role is neither structural nor piecemeal, but is comprehensively theory based. It outlines the manner in which boards can be successful in their servant-leadership role, as well as in their all-important relationship with management. Policy Governance is an integrated set of concepts and principles that describes the job of any governing board. The Grand Council of Alpha Sigma Phi operates under the Policy Governance Model. In 2021, the voting delegates consolidated the Constitution and Bylaws and Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity now only has Bylaws. Traditionally, this happens at the Fraternity's biennial Grand Chapter. Since then, the Fraternity's Constitution and Bylaws have been updated continuously. The first national constitution was adopted in 1907, when Marietta and Yale came together to form the National Fraternity. Students may also join the Criminal Justice Association (CJA), which is open to criminal justice and non-criminal justice members who are interested in the field and want to engage in service within the local community and region. Students in the program find a supportive environment that challenges and empowers them to explore their individual interests in the wide realm of study in criminal justice. The Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice prepares students for a variety of careers, including law enforcement (local, state, and federal), probation and parole, institutional corrections, and research.
